Jessica Frickey

Voice|Piano|Clarinet

Jessica has always been singing (humming, anyways!) and interested in music since before she could speak. She was always part of the band and choir since elementary school, having the opportunities to participate in all-state, district, and parish honor choir/band. She has also enjoyed singing and playing the piano for different worship teams over the years since high school. She attended Nicholls State University on a music scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor or Arts in Vocal Music Education in December 2014. At Nicholls, she participated in many ensembles: choir (where she had the opportunity to be president for one year), chamber singers, and band. Teaching private clarinet and vocal lessons during this time helped her to hone her craft as well. After graduating, she was received the Vocal Music Major of the Year award for 2014-2015. Jessica has a passion for music and it's ability to allow one to express their deepest emotions and yet engage the logical side as well. It truly is an all-encompassing tool that helps students to grow in many areas and Jessica is passionate about showing students how to tap into that!
